Our restaurant under head chef Javier Fernandez offers delightful, contemporary Spanish cuisine inspired by local traditions delivered with a playful, colourful twist. We are renowned for our signature dishes and change our menu seasonally to keep surprising and innovating. We place a lot of emphasis on sourcing quality, local produce and presenting our dishes in a refined, original way. As well as our seasonal menu, we also offer a constantly evolving selection of dishes on our blackboard for those customers who want to try something different. A sweet touch to compliment every moment
At restaurant Miba we love baking our own cakes and confecting exquisite desserts. A well-crafted dessert that balances subtle flavours, contrasting textures and beautiful presentation is the final, memorable touch to the perfect meal. All our desserts are prepared in our kitchen and we regularly bake a selection of cakes, tarts and pastries that can be enjoyed as a dessert or simply with a coffee in the bar.
Every table has a view
Restaurant Miba offers five distinct dining areas each with their unique charm and gorgeous views of Salobreña castle and the sea from different perspectives. We offer the same menu in each location, except for in the Skybar where certain dishes cannot be served.
The main dining room offers a more formal dining experience with large tables, elegant tableware, flowers and candles to enhance the mood. You can enjoy stunning views to the Moorish castle and sea through the panoramic picture windows. Air-conditioning makes it cool in summer and cosy in winter and the atmosphere is quiet, intimate and refined making it ideal for the Spanish custom of sobremesa - lounging around your table after dining enjoying the company, the atmosphere and the service. This area is particularly popular with families and groups of friends.
The restaurant terrace is the perfect location for outdoor eating and the best spot to make the most of the glorious year-round sun. The terrace is covered and equipped with blinds for when temperatures rise and heating for the cooler months. During the day time you are drawn to the green fields of sub-tropical crops below stretching to the sparkling sea and Salobreña's promontory rock known as El Peñon. Views at night are dominated by the illuminated castle towering above majestically. Tables on our restaurant terrace are best suited for couples or groups of four.
Our VIP area situated between the dining room and the bar is a convivial spot perfeclty suited to groups of up to twelve people who want to enjoy our food and service in their own space whilst enjoying gorgeous views from the panoramic picture windows. It can also be configured as three tables of two for a more informal and convivial dining experience with the same quality and slightly faster service from the kitchen.
When customers request, a table can be prepared in the bar area. The high tables make for a more informal dining experience and the corner tables provide the most impressive view of the castle, especially at night.
MIba Skybar has been rewarded with a Repsol guide solete de verano as being one of the most spectacular places to dine and enjoy the summer atmosphere on the Costa Tropical. We serve dinner at the weekends during the summer months (check our opening hours for up-to-date details) and it is an unforgettable experience to enjoy our refined cuisine under the stars fanned by gentle breezes with Salobreña's stunning castle directly opposite. Tables are highly sought after so make sure to book ahead!
